Tallinn, Estonia

Part of the FIAPF-accredited Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), PÖFF Shorts is one the biggest short film and animation festivals in the region.
The festival’s mission is to showcase the best animated and live action short films of all genres from cutting-edge talents and bold visionaries across the world.

In addition to a variety of short film and animation screenings, the programme includes a selection of guest programmes, Q&As and special events made to bring filmmakers and audiences together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

A BAFTA-qualifying festival, PÖFF Shorts hosts three internationally recognised competition programmes: the international competitions for live action and animation with their respective student competitions called New Talents, as well as the PÖFF Shorts National Competition designed to provide a platform for Estonian filmmakers and animators.
2018 also has shorts competing for the same prize with full feature films in the PÖFF Rebels With a Cause Competition programme.
